Counselor applicants must have already completed or be close to completing an accredited master’s level counseling psychology or mental health college program. Applicants will be required to complete an application, a background check, interview process, and online sexual abuse awareness training.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to correctly and fully complete any and all paperwork deemed necessary to serve as student counselors at Compassion Counseling Center on time by their respective programs of study. Once the college or university has accepted Compassion Counseling Center as a practicum site, then the student counselor must make themselves available for any additional training required by Compassion’s staff prior to beginning work.
In Spring 2015 we hope to have links to the appropriate forms and documents needed to apply to become a Compassion student counselor.
At this time we do not anticipate needing additional support staff positions.
